PNT commentary: This week the President of the Adult Performers Actors Guild UNION (Alana Evans) addressed a very serious issue in regards to adult entertainment industry HEALTH and SAFETY – in regards to HIV positive performers who may be active in the American pornography industry talent pool.

After the recent HIV outbreak, @apacsocial sent out their HIV flow chart… pushing the agenda of “undetectable is untransmittable” … the truth is our testing lacks a very important HIV test that would show “undetectable” performers as detectable. ADD THE ELISA NOW! @FSCPASS

Those of us @APAGunion believe that performers deserve to know their sexual partners status, no matter their viral load. @apacsocial @FSCArmy and @FSCPASS refuse this right to performers on a DAILY BASIS. They have decided WHO deserves to know and who doesn’t.

I appreciate your thoughts, but until @FSCArmy @FSCPASS and @apacsocial ADD the ELISA to our testing protocol, we don’t really know the status of our fellow performers.

Why does @FSCArmy @fscpass and @apacsocial have the right to decide it’s ok for “undetectable hiv Performers” in our worker pool? They have CHOSEN to leave off the test that shows the actual HIV status of a performer, allowing “undetectable” workers.

The tests are available. Undetectable is only untransmissible if properly and consistently medicated. HIV antibody testing is the standard of care and not being properly offered or utilized. No reason to not have antibody test added to panel.
