• Ok I’m at the 14:36 minute mark of chapter 1 of #TheLastDaysOfAugust & it’s noted that August Ames’ husband Kevin had access to her Twitter account after her death (where he posted his statement), but did he PRIOR to her death too? If he did, I wonder if he ever posted AS HER…
• Jon Ronson corroborates at the 20:52 minute mark what I was told directly by Jaxton Wheeler & his wife in regards to his tweet being sent 3 hours after August Ames had already passed. Ronson’s team fact checked that situation… so no one utilize Jaxton as a scapegoat anymore…
• Now this is odd… at the 22:15 minute mark of chapter 1 of #TheLastDaysOfAugust @JonRonson refers to porn actress Mercedes Carrera as being a porn “veteran”. Lol! I don’t think so. She just entered the industry in 2014. I highly suggest @iafdcom to #factcheck things like that…
• At the 32 minute mark of #TheLastDaysOfAugust August’s best friend Emma Hicks states her husband attempted to control what information was shared about August…But strangely around the 36 minute mark Mercedes Carrera is consulted by @jonronson AGAIN…Why is she in this so much?
• around the 39 minute mark of #TheLastDaysOfAugustAmes Mercedes Carrera gets into how she really wanted to be August’s friend but felt @KevinM00re wouldn’t let her have friends. I’m thinking August just couldn’t relate to Mercedes… Not all young women want older female friends.
• And of course, at about the 41 minute mark of #TheLastDaysOfAugustAmes while @jonronson is interviewing Emma Hix, who @KevinM00re DID appear to allow August to be friends with (so far he just seems controlling, not crazy) Mike Quasar busts in. Why is Quasar everywhere?
• OH NO! At the 43:52 minute mark of #TheLastDaysOfAugustAmes Derek Hay chimes in with his thoughts IMMEDIATELY after Emma Hix relates that she’s “heard” that @KevinM00re‘s exes are either dead or institutionalized. Um @jonronson – many girls Derek has repped are dead too!
• Hmmm, @JonRonson uncovers around the 48 minute mark that Kevin Moore had ANOTHER wife between his dating Hunter Bryce (who’s dead too) and marrying August Ames. A pornstar who was repped by Derek Hay known as Shazia Sahari (of Pakistani & Saudi decent). #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• SO @KevinM00re has a major enemy known as Yoshio who apparently he got fired from Evil Angel due to Shazia Sahari (who’s rumored to be institutionlized)… Yoshio / Yoshi made a chart revolving around people he dislikes in the industry. Lol! #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Uh oh. At the 58 minute mark @axelbraun jumps in & informs @jonronson about Kevin Moore having checked into the Agoura Hills Sheraton hotel the night of August’s death. Then Emma Hix & Mercedes Carrera relate August was seeing another guy & wanted a divorce. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Well this is sad…1 hour mark – turned out the man August was contemplating leaving Kevin Moore for was in actuality married, with kids & even OLDER than Kevin. Her brother talks about her being unhappy in her own marriage. Seemed to have low self esteem. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• At the 1 hour 15 min mark what August’s brother relates is interesting. He claims to have felt Kevin’s call to him upon August’s death sounded “scripted”. What I think is being overlooked is that Kevin MAY be on the spectrum (#Asperger‘s syndrome) @jonronson #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• When I really think about it, August’s husband exhibits many of the classic traits of someone who’s a high functioning individual living with Autism / Aspergers. Nothing to be ashamed of… But August probably didn’t see it in him initially and found him hard to deal with later.
• around the 1 hour 16 min mark it’s made known that one of the larger porn studios essentially HOLDS WOMEN’S PAY HOSTAGE if they don’t say in their exit interview that they had a “good time” doing scenes that are evidently abusive & overly rough. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 1 hour 20 min mark – August’s brother relates that Kevin Moore is fixated on Jessica Drake – refuses to acknowledge that August felt violated by Markus Dupree in a rough scene… I’m thinking August’s brother may wind up kicking a few people’s asses… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• FINALLY – At the 1 hour 24 min mark @jonronson interviews a photographer who is very REAL about the issue of OLDER MEN interacting with women half their age in the porn industry & creating a damaging dysfunctional & unhealthy father figure culture. Yep… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• About the 1hour 30 min mark – Very glad to hear the male chauvinism being addressed in regards to female adult industry talent’s complaints of abuse often being ignored, dismissed or labeled “mental illness”. @jonronson did a great job with these interviews. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Uh oh. 1 hour 45 minute mark – crazy Pierre Woodman is brought into the equation as the search for Shazia Sahari continues – and it’s revealed August’s husband did not want Pierre working with her. Kevin just may have controlled August’s “no list”. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Lolololol! At the 1hour 47 minute mark @jonronson meets with Lexington Steele to interview him about Kevin Moore’s mystery ex wife Shazia Sahari in a Whole Foods parking lot. Lololol! Oh, and Axel Braun arranged the meeting. Lololol! #thelastdaysofaugust
• Lololololol! @jonronson totally blindsided Lexington Steele – it’s the funniest moment in the #podcast! Just wow. #thelastdaysofaugust
• Wow. 1hour and 51minute mark – Lisa Ann calls @jonronson and essentially threatens him about the project he’s doing on August Ames, claims he’s making pornstars feel uneasy BUT seems to try to coerce him into investigating Derek Hay… #thelastdaysofaugust
• “Everyone f*cking lies…They are the most uneducated, shady, criminal, f*cking people I ever engaged with…” a quote from Lisa Ann to @jonronson at the 1 hour 54 minute mark in regards to her view of the people who the pornography industry is comprised of. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 1hour 56min mark – I never knew Lisa Ann was so angry and pessimistic. I think the porn industry really has hurt her more than anyone will ever know. What she should realize however is the the pain can’t be kept a secret anymore. @jonronson tried to explain. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 1hour 58min mark – Lisa Ann states she believes #TheLastDaysOfAugust will trigger more suicides… Initially I thought the same but today I don’t. In fact, this just may be the most entertaining & honest #podcast I ever heard.
• at the 2hour and 6min mark @jonronson outlines SPECIFICALLY how Kevin Moore utilizes “divide and conquer” tactics to attempt to control and manipulate social situations and people. Very astute observation of a certain type of PIMP mentality. #thelastdaysofaugust
• It’s odd @jonronson couldn’t find many in the porn industry who knew Hunter Bryce because a TON of people knew her AND were aware that she was close to James Bartholet of Galaxy Publicity. I smell another death coverup… #TheLastDaysofAugust
• 2hour 14min mark – a guy named Ryan Mclane outlines a suicide attempt August had that resulted in her having to be taken to the hospital but Kevin labels the incident a “nervous breakdown”. Too bad Ryan wasn’t brave enough to tell her he loved her. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 2hour 30mins mark – Shazia Sahari is located….. Now it’s on… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 2hour 37minute mark – Shazia Sahari goes into detail about Derek Hay and his abusive unethical behavior. Her parents tried to save her from porn by institutionalizing her. Her parents felt Kevin pulled their daughter into porn (and he kinda did). #thelastdaysofaugust
• Soooo Kevin Moore pretty much completely lied to @jonronson about Shazia Sahari… He was not a good husband to her… Emotionally abusive. Ugh… I’m glad she got away from him AND performing in pornography. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 2hour 42min mark – Shazia at one point attempted suicide while married to Kevin Moore as well. He had become emotionally distant – they were more like roommates from her perspective opposed to husband & wife. #thelastdaysofaugust
• 2hour 44min mark – Shazia Sahari’s suicide attempt story directly parallels that of August’s attempt that Ryan Mclane shared. Kevin didn’t visit her in the hospital immediately either… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 2hour 45min mark – Shazia Sahari relates how she heard she could supplement her income as a porn actress by escorting and she states Kevin facilitated her to do it. She says HE DROVE HER TO A JOHN WHILE THEY WERE MARRIED. Shazia backed out at the last minute #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Shazia Sahari also claims that Kevin Moore was basically in control of her “no list” not to unlike what various parties stated about August. That all contradicts Kevin’s “it’s your body it’s your choice mantra” #TheLastDaysofAugust
• 2hour 55min mark – an analogy to “Baby elephants in the circus” is made by a female adult producer – excellent metaphor in regards to the psychological conditioning adult performers often undergo. Wow. #TheLastDaysofAugust
• At the 3hour mark those with a fairly trained ear can hear Kevin’s voice “crack” a bit upon @jonronson inquiring as to the events involving the electrical outage the night August was found dead… This being an audio only podcast reveals a LOT. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 3min mark – though Kevin Moore claimed the power was out in his residence for hours the night August died, the California power company’s official report does not corroborate that. They company claims the power was out less than half an hour… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 6min mark – August’s brother states his focus in regards to her death is on Kevin Moore, Markus Dupree & Jaxton Wheeler – not Jessica Drake. August’s brother does not seem to fault bullying for her death. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 7min mark – August’s brother is PISSED! He wrote a letter to Kevin (he hadn’t sent) saying “How dare you blame bullying for her death” He also says he refuses to believe her death was a suicide & he’s based his opinion of Kevin on what August told him #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 8min mark – August’s brother shares how in his opinion Kevin Moore pulled a final power play by telling her family if @jonronson & his assistant attended her funeral in Canada he wouldn’t go. Kevin had her ashes in his possession so he got his way. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• At the 3hour 10min mark it’s revealed that August’s entire family is a military family – if Mercedes Carrera knew that, now I see why she may have been fixated on befriending August… But would that have altered August’s outcome? We’ll never know… #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 16min mark – August’s final scene is described… It’s never been released. The situation sounds like it was too much (in my opinion) for what she could deal with at that phase of her life (even if she’d done rough sex scenes before). Wasn’t into it.. #TheLastDaysofAugust
• 3hour 19min mark – August’s last agent Chris Kane relates he’d been concerned about Kevin Moore & August Ames relationship as Kevin didn’t seem to like people (he states it himself too) & was an introvert whereas August was an extrovert by nature. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Seems to me Kevin had the dominant personality – which didn’t allow August to be herself… She was a people pleaser in my opinion & I’m thinking the only reason she submitted to the rough scene with Markus Dupree was to validate Kevin’s judgement. Ugh. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 22min mark – August’s agent claims August stated the she loved Kevin Moore but wasn’t IN LOVE with him. He says she was going to ask him for a divorce. Claims August felt like she & Kevin were living two entirely separate lives. IMO she outgrew him. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 23min mark – according to August’s agent Chris, Kevin wanted to do family therapy rather than grant her a divorce (she did ask him according to Chris). #TheLastDaysofAugust
• At the 3hour 32min mark – @jonronson brings up the reality directly to Kevin Moore via phone about the issue of psychologically damaged young women (18 to late 20s) being manipulated by psychologically damaged old men (40 and older) in the porn industry… #TheLastDaysofAugust
• 3hour 33min mark – Kevin Moore states “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with sex or pornography, but I think the business is very sick… There’s the reality that for 20 years I’ve lived a life THAT I KIND OF REGRET NOW… “. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• 3hour 33min mark – Kevin Moore continues by saying “WE ARE MAKING A LIVING OFF THE BACKS OF THE MENTALLY ILL”. I personally don’t agree. I feel over half the time it’s mentally ill predators (#sociopaths) making a living off the naive & submissive in porn. #TheLastDaysOfAugust
• Thank you for putting #TheLastDaysOfAugust together @jonronson… It was extraordinary – a solid masterpiece that I feel I was specifically meant to hear at this point in my #life. I survived that world & your piece provided closure for me on a few things I’d forgotten about.
